    A Tainan Courtyard House Makes Its Repairs Visible

    A century-old courtyard residence in Tainan has been adapted into an exhibition venue without concealing the difference between its historic fabric and new interventions. Exposed masonry, a folded timber roof, and repairs that emphasize existing cracks turn the building itself into part of the exhibition.

    Taipei’s Theater of Stacked Boxes and a Sphere

    OMA won the 2009 competition for Taipei Performing Arts Center with a proposal that joined three theaters to a central cube. Completed in 2022 beside Shilin Night Market, the building carries that early experiment into a public venue for performance and everyday circulation.
