Reddit user Sensitive-Love8190 posted four vertical photographs from the Tamsui River waterfront on AUG 27, 2026. Three center Danjiang Bridge against bands of orange and red cloud, while another looks across the water toward Guanyin Mountain beneath a pink and blue sky.

Danjiang Bridge opened on MAY 12, 2026, connecting Tamsui and Bali districts at the mouth of the river in New Taipei City. The crossing carries motor vehicles, buses, bicycles, and pedestrians, with space reserved for a future light rail connection.

Its 211-meter tower supports a 920-meter bridge with a 450-meter main span. New Taipei City describes it as the world’s longest single-tower asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge by main span. The design was selected through an international competition won by Zaha Hadid Architects in 2015.

The city says the tower was placed toward the Tamsui side to face Guanyin Mountain while keeping the estuary’s horizon as open as possible. These photographs reduce that engineering decision to its visual essentials: one dark tower, fine diagonal cables, moving water, and the last light of the day.
