A reel from the Traditional Chinese entertainment account 日刊電電 presents a Japanese AI-generated parody as ‘grandma GTA.’ Its headline tells viewers that Japanese users are laughing at the clip and asking for the fictional game to become real.

The original video, titled AIが考えるおばあちゃんゲーム, was created by the Japanese channel AI動画ラボコイコイ. It uses Pollo AI’s Seedance 2.5 to imagine older women as characters in an open-world game set around Niigata. Mock missions, maps and status bars turn bicycles, mobility scooters and rural homes into parts of an absurd game world. The creator identifies the visuals, voices and music as entirely AI-generated fiction.

日刊電電 reduces the longer YouTube video to a 96-second Instagram excerpt and surrounds it with Traditional Chinese headlines and commentary. That framing changes how the work travels. Viewers do not need to follow the Japanese creator or encounter the original post to understand the premise.

The reel is not Taiwanese in origin, but its appearance in a Taiwanese viewer’s feed is part of the story. It shows how local-language entertainment pages select overseas material, add an immediate cultural entry point and place it inside the ordinary media routines of people in Taiwan.
