A short vertical video from National Sun Yat-sen University (國立中山大學) in Kaohsiung shows a troop of Taiwanese macaques moving down the red-brick exterior of a student dormitory. They pass windows and air-conditioning units before reaching a row of parked scooters below.

ETtoday posted the clip to Threads on SEP 5, 2026, crediting Threads user wowyoutuna and stating that the footage was provided with permission. The 21-second edit appeared as students were returning to campus for the new academic year.

The university sits against Shoushan, also called Monkey Mountain, on Kaohsiung’s coast. National Sun Yat-sen University has long published guidance about macaques entering dormitory areas in search of food and about reducing conflict between students and the animals.
